對於美國教育和文化很有概念的Gene媽媽...暑期時都會安排Gene到美國參加夏令營
去年他們是由另一間代辦協助申請,只可惜他們的目標Mercersburg卻沒有申請成功
所以今年媽媽就找上我們美立達囉
在聯繫的過程中,媽媽非常的nice...無論準備文件或任何事宜,就在第一時間快速整理完畢
因為剛好身旁有朋友也想送孩子參加夏令營,所以今年三個小朋友揪團,一起出發囉!
Gene到美國後...學習得非常好

•這是第幾次參加美國寄宿中學夏令營呢？
Second time
•為什麼想參加夏令營?
I want to learn the culture in the US, different type of classes.
•學校整體環境如何？
It is a pretty big school, 300 acres, with a beautiful chapel. It is not that convenient to be there because it is in a pretty small town. It is really safe to be in this summer program and you won’t miss your flight coming back. The TAs will help you check in and have admission to get in the airport and left after your plane takes off.
•學校的教學方式如何？與台灣的教育有何差異？
They have activities in the afternoon. There were trips every Sunday. Classes there are more creative and easy to learn. The way they teach there will let you remember what they teach easily. You don’t have to spend much time to memorize it after class.
•喜歡美國的教學方式嗎？
Really like it.
•喜歡課程安排內容嗎？會不會太困難或太簡單？
The classes are great; they will make you into different level of group so it won’t be too hard or easy. Teachers there are really patient to help every student.
•假日時有做哪些娛樂活動呢？
New York, Washington DC, Georgetown zoo and shopping.
•學校最吸引你的地方？和需要改進的地方？
They have really good teachers and the campus is really beautiful. When I went there, the dinning hall is refurbishing, so we ate in another place. But it will be available soon. The trip to New York is too short. We had just 7 hours to spend in the big city.
•夏令營中，美國當地生多嗎？台灣人大概有幾人呢？
There are no US students because it is an ESL camp. There are 9 people from Taiwan.
•最喜歡夏令營的原因？
I can make a lot of new friends from different countries. There were people coming from 12 countries this year.
•明年還想再參加夏令營嗎？
I maybe will go to a college summer camp next year to prepare for higher education.
•會想就讀夏令營學校的正式課程嗎？
I really want to be there for the school year, but the tuition is too high for my parents to afford.
•其它
There were two British teachers this year. We had a lot of fun comparing differences
between British English and American English, such as different spelling, pronunciation, and accent. It was a really fun experience. And also we played soccer or basketball in the morning with others. It was also really fun that I could play sports with others in the morning with friends. I have never done that in Taiwan.
